Mendoza, Cosmiano crowned champions in MNMBCT ‘23

Grade 11 student James Benedict Mendoza and Grade 12 student Paula Kem Cosmiano triumphed as this year’s Mr. & Ms. Brokenshire College Toril, garnering multiple special awards along with their champion titles.
Mendoza swept a total of 3 special awards, namely, Best in Uniform Attire, Best in Evening Wear, and Most Eloquent. Cosmiano also won 3 special awards which are Ms. Photogenic, Best in Creative Production, and Best in Evening Wear.
Given the question “Is the gaming industry a threat to students?”, Mendoza shared his disagreement and sentiments of playing online games as an effective coping mechanism for his dilemma related to his family’s situation.
On the other hand, Cosmiano emphasized the “big responsibility” of being an SK and questioned their “purpose” in her answer to the question regarding the aspiring SK candidates filing for their candidacy. She concluded with a message to SK candidates, saying: “Don’t use your power for yourself. Use your voice for other people”.
As Mr. & Ms. BCT 2023 title holders, Mendoza and Cosmiano will receive a total cash prize of PHP 10,000 and will be granted a 100% tuition fee discount for this school year, respectively.
