Honesty, Perseverance chalk up G11 UN Cultural Food Contest top prizes

G11 Honesty representative Ayla Marie Smith and G11 Perseverance representative John Paul Andal emerged as winners of the UN Cultural Cooking Contest first prize and Best in National Costume award respectively during the recently held BCT United Nations Day Celebration on Friday, October 28.
Smith presented a dish called Bobotie, an African Dish consisting of baked spiced meat topped off with an egg and milk based topping, from the country of South Africa.
Meanwhile, Andal amazed the judges with his emperor costume representing the country of China.
Besides the two, the other sections that participated in the event were: Section Courage (Indonesia), Integrity (Korea), Grit (Thailand), Kindness (Mexico), Encouragement (USA), Piety (Philippines), Felicity (Morocco), Reverence (United Kingdom), Prudence (Belgium), Thankfulness (Italy), Sincerity (Arabian), and Rectitude (Turkey).
