BCT Scouting Unit ‘back on track’ with first general formation
Story by Maria Alia Beatrice Capenda, The Spark
Brokenshire College Toril (BCT) Scouting Unit held its first general formation spearheaded by its former officers last September 6, 2024 at the BCT grounds.
Following the previous school year’s Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) investiture, the scouts gathered on the field to learn and perform the basic scout commands.
The unit was also informed of the expected scouting events, as well as the start of their general formations every Friday.
“It’s hard starting from scratch, but seeing the determination of all scouts really inspires us,” officer Sherina Petarte told THE SPARK.
Noting that the Scouting Unit had only few activities in the previous year, the officers and teachers in-charge expressed their determination to bring back the excitement in the BCT Scouting Unit this school year.
The unit’s anticipated activities include Backyard Camping, Crew Leadership Training Course, and Council Jamboree.
