BCT men’s volleyball team remains undefeated, overpowers Sakya in hard-fought game, 2–1

Brokenshire College Toril (BCT) men’s volleyball team successfully maintained its undefeated standing with a hard-fought 2–1 win against Philippine Academy of Sakya in an intense match held earlier today.
Sakya surged ahead at the beginning of the match with a five-point lead against the struggling BCT. Signs of miscommunication could be observed among the BCT athletes until the first time out called by Coach Perdiel.
BCT gradually gained momentum, however after Perdiel called for a second time-out, Sakya quickly caught up and retained their 7-point advantage, 15–8 against BCT.
Sakya won the first set of the match, 25–17.
BCT started the second match with a consecutive two-point service errors. Before the first time-out of the set, several service errors were committed by both teams.
With recovery mostly enabled by Duran, number 3, BCT won the second set, 25–15 taking the match to a third and final set.
BCT’s Jansen Laguna started the last and deciding set with four consecutive service aces prompting Sakya coach to call for a time-out in a bid to dissolve BCT’s commanding 7–2 lead.
BCT continued its advantage up until the halfway to the match point where both teams changed courts, 13–8
Fans of both teams held no breath as Sakya team attempted a comeback during the last moments of the game which were marked with continuous ball rally.
In the end, Duran once again carried the team with his final drop ball against the Sakya team maneuvering the game to a finish in favor of BCT, 25–22.
BCT will now enter the quarterfinals of the game where another match with Sakya is expected.
