BCT bags 2 golds, 2 silvers in DAPRISA Games ’23 Lawn Tennis Tournament

Brokenshire College Toril’s (BCT) Lawn Tennis Team won 4 medals including two golds, during the Davao Association of Private Schools (DAPRISA) Games 2023 Lawn Tennis Tournament at Doña Pilar Learning Center Foundation Inc. (DPLCFI) Tuesday, October 24.
Playing against Ananda Marga Special Institution (AMSAI), Lawn Tennis Singles Secondary Boys player Matt Andrei Villanueva clinched the gold while Hibbert Sanico was awarded silver.
Deciding the qualifier for the DCAA Meet, Villanueva played against comrade Sanico after defeating AMSAI’s player leaving Sanico with a silver and a gold for Villanueva with a spot at the DCAA Meet.
Meanwhile, BCT’s Zaki Rene Tanji also showed off his caliber by grabbing a silver against DPLCFI in Elementary Singles B.
Unopposed, John Rey Litang and Edmar Cadinas also secured gold for BCT in the Secondary Doubles category adding a medal to the team.

Boys Singles A Secondary: Hibbert Sanico (Silver)
Boys Singles B Secondary: Matt Andrei Villanueva (Gold)
Boys Double Secondary: John Rey Litang and Edmar Cadinas (Gold)
Boys Singles Elementary- Zaki Rene D. Tanji (Gold)
Still, while their opponents failed to make an appearance, Secondary Singles A, Singles B, and Doubles in the Girls’ category have earned a spot for DCAA Meet.
Lawn Tennis coach, Sir Juneray Mamacos, said that the elimination round will be conducted on Thursday, October 26, 2023, to decide which players are to be sent in the DCAA Meet Girls’ category.
